Performing with her school theater as well as outside theater and dance groups this graduate was looking to incorporate what she loved with a little of who she is. When we met with her we noticed this very sweet handmade mobile hanging in her room. We could not get it off our minds and decided that would be the piece of Riley that we would add in to compliment her theater side. Andrea created a hand painted backdrop inspired by this mobile. When we revealed this to Riley and her mom, we found out that this was something very treasured by Riley as it was made with her grandma on what ended up being their final visit together. What a beautiful way to have a piece of her grandma at this celebration! With the open house style event food was served buffet style with nods added in of music, theater, and flowers filling every part of the kitchen with a piece of Riley. Guests were invited to leave words of encouragement to be placed in a hand-stained box for Riley to read once she arrived in her dorm room. The One must have request from Riley was cookies and they were the talk of the party! We are certain Riley is One Smart Cookie who is going to make a changes in the world.
